Part 1: Statement of Golden Apple Society

Starting from today, Eruthyll Wiki maintained by Golden Apple Society will officially stop providing all updates on future changes and will no longer roll out any new functionality updates. All planned and unfinished additions and amendments will be dropped, and unreleased functionalities will not be released.

This is not a light decision to make. Personally, Chise has spent more than 500 otherwise billable hours on Higan: Eruthyll, including game testing, website and community building, system maintenance, and coordinating. A lot of others have also spent considerable amount of time and resources to help when we are having a hard time obtaining reliable information of characters, plays, as well as art resources.

Higan: Eruthyll has been a good game in this realm of fierce competition, and we all have wished for it to succeed. This is unfortunately our last resort. We, the Society, and our handler at Bilibili Games have spent more than 100 days trying our best attempting to provide up to date information on the website by in-game mining as well as our previously established request-provide cooperation model.

For the past month Chise has met the newest handler in person in Shanghai and had attended a meeting with the leader of marketing. Based on the consensus we have reached, we concluded that it would be irresponsible for both parties to continue maintaining a project that we could not push through despite our best efforts.

In the past few weeks, the marketing team of Bilibili Games have attempted their best to allow our collaboration to go through, yet the developing team is still unable to provide crucial information we need to support our continued operation. We have jointly decided to end our co-operation on Higan: Eruthyll and conclude our journey with Eruthyll Wiki.

Bilibili Games have agreed to allow us keep Eruthyll Wiki open at its current state. We believe we shall keep it open as long as we are able to afford, as we believe it would be more beneficial to keep it open rather than abruptly closing it down. Although we will not update its contents, we will take responsibility for any incorrect information that exist prior to 1 July 2023 and will correct them when possible.

We will disable visitor’s ability to register new accounts, as well as the ability for old users to edit their submissions, regardless of the current status of entries. To comply with our privacy policy, we will soon remove all unneeded personal information in our database, including email addresses, passwords, profile pictures, and analytical statistics. All entries, articles, and pages that are not ‘published’ will be removed shortly after these changes.

We fully appreciate that Higan: Eruthyll is still planned to be released in the market of China’s Mainland, and it would be potentially damaging to the game if the information we currently hold to be leaked or released to any third party. The Society will initiate deleting process of all information regarding to Higan: Eruthyll, with the sole exception of those that have been published on Eruthyll Wiki, Discord, or Reddit prior to 1 August 2023.

We will seek opportunities to have domains previously registered for protection (eruthyll.com, eruthyll.org, and eruthyll.net) to be transferred to Bilibili Games, as they are the trademark holder, and this would allow such registrations to continue serving its original intent. If we are unable to facilitate a transfer, we will drop them when they expire to allow us to provide the wiki service as long as we are able to.

We are aware that some of our contents are licensed under our sharing policy, and according to the agreement outlined, we will continue to recognise the validity of any content used under that policy and assume it to be our future standpoint on using contents on Eruthyll Wiki. However, since we are no longer providing updates, we will stop responding to any queries related to asking for permissions to share.

The past 20 months has been amazing, and memories of those shall not be further contaminated. The Society will not respond to nor comment on anything regarding this announcement and the events this has mentioned.

Part 2: Statement of Gopher Auxiliary

We, Gopher Auxiliary, the gamers’ organisation established upon the incentive of Bilibili Games, hereby announce our discontinuance of cooperation on Higan: Eruthyll and mark our disestablishment.

All our current resources will be returned to their original holders to allow them to be reallocated to those who need them after our dissolvement. The Auxiliary will also allow its name to be taken by others if desired.

Coordinators of the Auxiliary will help arrange current members to be introduced to the new entity taking our dropped mission, providing the existence of such organisation.

The Auxiliary will not respond to nor comment on anything related to the Auxiliary itself or Higan: Eruthyll.
